When applying for representation at Pangolily Talent Management, always use the email address provided (the button below will link you to it. For those using screen readers, it’s representation@pangolily.co.uk)

Applications sent to any other email address will be deleted.

If writing isn’t your thing, we welcome video submissions. These need be relatively short (a couple of minutes is ample. No longer than four, please!) and something we can stream (e.g. Vimeo or You Tube; make sure the links are private or unlisted respectively)

Regardless of whether you write or record, we need certain details in order to assess your application

  • Who you are
  • What you are looking for in an agent
  • What you want to be doing (what’s the dream?)
  • We also need your Spotlight / IMDB link.
  • Any other information you feel maybe helpful or you want to let us know about you.
  • Be specific, be creative. Show us who you are as an actor / performer

Once you apply

Once we receive your email it goes in a queue to be reviewed. We look at every single application.

If interested we will contact you to set up an online meeting. In the meeting we will ask you to perform a short monologue from a list of choices sent to you in your meeting invite. We do this to asses your preparation for meetings and to get you in a performer headspace

We will ask a bunch of interview type questions. As this is a conversation about your representation and your career, we ask that you come armed with lots of questions.

If we do not think you are a good fit, we will let you know. Please do not follow up with an email or phone call

Helpful advice when applying for representation at any acting agency

Research the agent

No, I don’t mean you need to don your best Sherlock Holmes / Miss Marple persona.

However, you do need to understand, for each agency, how they like to be contacted. Is there a specific way they like to receive applications (e.g. online form, specific email address). Is there any specific information that they are looking to receive from you?

If there are multiple agents, do they like you to specify who the application is for?

Understand why you are applying to that agency

Have you looked at their current books? How do you fit versus that? Does it look like you fill an obvious gap?

When you come to apply, why should they consider you? What do you bring to the table? What are you looking for? But also, why are you applying to them specifically?

Why don’t I hear back?

Agents tend to get a lot of copy/paste applications. We get it; writing a specific one for everyone is time consuming. However its obvious when you haven’t spent any time tweaking it to match the agency to which you are applying. If that’s what you currently do, that might be why you aren’t hearing back.

Or perhaps you aren’t adding enough of the “why” (see points above) . Most agents want to know who you are and whether you will fit their team. Just as you would want your agent to understand you.

And lastly, some agencies are constantly inundated with applications. Not everyone can or will reply to those in whom they are not interested. That’s this industry, unfortunately.
